Sometimes you need to change up the monotone of your workout. As Covid-19 continues to make the gym an unknown source of workouts, or getting bored with the hamster wheel in the garage, or needing a change of scenery than your neighborhood its nice to have an option.
I took that option yesterday with my family for a fun filled day of “working out” in Ohiopyle.
What is Ohiopyle? It’s an oasis in Pennsylvania. It’s nestled in the mountains just south of Uniontown, Pa along the Youghiogheny River. It’s known for hiking, white water rafting, swimming, camping, mountain biking, and even horseback riding. It’s awesome if you love the outdoors.
I LOVE the outdoors. I take the opportunity to get out whenever I can.
That’s what I did yesterday. A fun filled birthday day-a-away.
Now, you can’t always swim at Ohiopyle. If it’s raining, has been raining, or otherwise the water level is affected don’t. It’s not like a managed swimming pool. This is all natural so the natural waterslides and Cucumber Falls increase in water level and danger when it rains.
Yesterday though, perfect!
We’re all still recovering from that awesomeness. So switch up those workouts to keep your mind active and your body engaged!
