Allyn Walker, an Old Dominion professor who was forced to resign after defending ‘Minor Attracted Persons’ has been hired Johns Hopkins University.

Allyn Walker will be joining a postdoctoral fellowship at the Moore Center on May 24. This particular center is supposedly aimed at preventing child sex abuse.

‘We are excited to share that Allyn Walker, PhD, will be joining the Moore Center as a postdoctoral fellow on May 25,’ the Moore Center for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse said Thursday.

Walker is a transgendered individual who resigned from ODU and had been placed on leave on November 16 after intense backlash erupted from the professor’s research using the phrase “minor-attracted person” instead of “pedophile”. This supposed educator wrote the book “A Long, Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity” and gave a controversial interview.

The book focused on people who do not act on their sexual attraction to children and strategies to prevent them from acting on the attraction.

“My scholarship aims to prevent child sexual abuse,” Walker, who is transgender, said in a statement at the time.

“That research was mischaracterized by some in the media and online, partly on the basis of my trans identity. As a result, multiple threats were made against me and the campus community generally,” he wrote.

“I want to thank Old Dominion University for giving me the opportunity to teach and to conduct my research, and the ODU Department of Public Safety for monitoring the threats against me and the community,” Walker added.

A video surfaced in late 2021 explaining that Walker used the term “Minor-Attracted Person” or “MAP” when referring to pedophiles throughout her book, “because I think it’s important to use terminology for groups that members of that group want others to use for them.”

Remember that this individual is now working for a center that is supposedly fighting against child abuse. They hired someone who defends pedophiles to work at a child abuse center.

This decision by the Moore Center has been met with criticism, though the corporate media has been largely silent.

“Too much prevention work is being driven by researchers and practitioners who work solely with offenders or people sexually attracted to children. What these individuals say in a research encounter or forensic interview does not line up with victim report,” he added.

The professor added that “MAP advocacy groups” have advocated for use of the term “primarily because it’s less stigmatizing than other terms like, ‘pedophile.’”

“A lot of people, when they hear the term pedophile, they automatically assume that it means a sex offender, and that isn’t true. And it leads to a lot of misconceptions about attractions toward minors,” Walker added.

The professor also addressed those who say using a term like “Minor-Attracted Person” suggests that “it’s okay to be attracted to children,” by arguing that “using a term that communicates who someone is attracted to doesn’t indicate anything about the morality of that attraction.”

These comments by an “educator” who now works at a center specifically to help child sex abuse victims is atrocious.

This “educator” has no business working anywhere near children or at a center dedicated to helping child sex abuse victims.

Don’t let these nuts direct language. Pedophiles do not deserve dignity and there is not excuse.
