Two police officers have been shot and killed in Harlem in New York Friday night. This comes just a few days after another police involved shooting in the Bronx.

An NYPD spokesperson confirmed that the two police offers were shot near 119 West 135th Street in the NYPD’s 32nd Precinct but said their conditions were not immediately available. They were rushed to Harlem Hospital.

The New York Times, citing unnamed officials, reported that the two officers had died.

But Fabien Levy, a press secretary for the mayor’s office, wrote on Twitter that “reports of two officers being killed in the line of duty have not been confirmed by NYPD or the hospital.”

Sources told Fox News Digital that the suspect was also killed.

The two officers responded to a domestic violence call at an apartment complex in Harlem involving a mother and son. The son opened fire on the officers, hitting them both.

The new super progressive DA who has been extremely lenient on violent crime, Alvin Bragg called the incident a “horrible tragedy”.

“I am deeply sorry for the families,” he told Fox News Digital Friday evening. “The officers who serve and protect us risk their lives every day. Violence against police cannot be tolerated and shooters must be held accountable.”

Bragg put out a memo in the first days of his term as DA telling Manhattan prosecutors to look for alternatives to prison sentences for criminals convicted of several kinds of offenses, and “reduce pretrial incarceration,” unless for “very serious cases.”

He also said his office “will be prosecuting all robberies of a gun as a felony.”

“Let me be clear,” he added, “any use of a gun to rob a store by definition is and must be and will be treated seriously.”

He called gun possession cases “a key part of our public safety strategy.”

Yet here we are…three police officers shot within a few days.

“This is what you get with woke politicians, this is what you get with woke prosecutors, absolute disrespect for the law and disrespect for the police, which results in dead heroes,” Daniel Bibb, a retired Manhattan assistant district attorney, told Fox News Digital.

Lee Zeldin, a GOP congressman and a Republican candidate for New York governor, said, “This has to stop.”

A Bronx police officer was shot on Tuesday by a 15-year-old rapper and it’s reported that he was placed on probation for illegal firearms possession just last month.

Is that what Bragg means by being treated “seriously”? They’re placed on probation?

On Wednesday, a gunman’s stray bullet tore through the face of an 11-month-old girl sitting in the backseat of her mother’s car, also in the Bronx.

Another city cop had been injured earlier this week, and prior to that, an off-duty officer was shot while sleeping in his car on Jan. 1, according to FOX 5 New York.

Yet the police were dispatched to the Museum of Natural History to arrest a 9-year-old for not having a vaccination card.

In all, Friday’s officers were the fourth and fifth shot so far in the first three weeks of 2022.

Violent crime is on the rise, yet again, in the country. A country that is divided beyond belief. The leftists who are in charge have continued making things worse. These Democratic leaders need to be held accountable for the terrible jobs that they are doing leading these cities and states.

Why have stricter gun laws in cities like New York? Do you know who is affected by strict gun control laws? Law-abiding citizens because criminals do not obey laws. If citizens were allowed to conceal carry or even open carry their guns in New York City, Chicago, or Washington, D.C. how quick would these gun-related incidents drop?

Stop the unconstitutional gun control laws and allow the law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

Stop voting for these liberal Democrats who are destroying the country one city at a time.
