GOP candidate Glenn Youngkin defeated Democratic former Governor Terry McAuliffe in a highly anticipated gubernatorial election yesterday. In fact, Virginia had a massive red wave as Republicans managed to snag 7 house delegate seats.

One of those states, Virginia, was projected to remain blue. Former vice president Joe Biden and Kamala Harris both campaigned for the Democrat nominee, former Governor Terry McAuliffe to no avail.

Despite his lies, insulting the parents of Virginia, and being an all-around turd, Virginians decided they had enough of the Democrat party and elected the GOP candidate Glenn Youngkin.

Virginia has the odd-year gubernatorial election that seems to captivate the country. This year was particularly tense since the now-former governor made a lot of Virginia’s parents, who are voters, angry. The schools were slow to reopen for in-person learning, school boards instituted wouldn’t listen to parents’ outrage against CRT, going so far as to insinuate that those parents were simply racists. When parents attempted to confront the school boards about the disturbing things children were telling them about the school lessons, school board officials decided to simply close meetings to the public.

McAuliffe’s answer was to whine about the majority-white teachers during his campaign.

“We got to work hard to diversify our teacher base,” McAuliffe said at a campaign event in Manassas Sunday.

“Fifty percent of our students are students of color, 80% of the teachers are White, so what I’m going to do for you, we’ll be the first state in America,” he continued. “If you go teach in Virginia for five years in a high-demand area — that could be geographic, it could be course work — we will pay room, board, tuition, any college, any university, or any HBCU here in Virginia.”

He calls the parents concerned about CRT racists but refuses to answer the interviewer’s question about what CRT is. Why is that? Could it be because parents have a reason to be concerned with this type of curriculum or implied teachings?

Or could it be he knows exactly what it is and knew that it was being taught to the teachers?

Fairfax County Schools paid “anti-racism” leader Ibram X. Kendi $20,000 to speak to the administration and school leaders about racism. Parents Defending Education, an organization of parents that aims to “reclaim our schools from activists imposing harmful agendas,” published a contract showing that Loudoun County Schools paid more than $300,000 to The Equity Collaborative for “training.” The collaborative’s training materials begin with an “Intro to Critical Race Theory.”

At the same time, Virginia’s Department of Education is promoting a book that says, “Teachers must embrace theories such as critical race theory.”

While McAuliffe cried about the white teachers, he failed to keep his many promises of raising teachers’ pay.

“Forty-three-year career politician Terry McAuliffe failed to keep his promises to raise teacher pay to the national average the first time he ran for governor, so now he’s trying to scare teachers by lying about Glenn Youngkin’s education plan,” the spokesman told Fox News. “Unlike McAuliffe, Youngkin will keep his promise to raise teacher pay and propose the largest education budget in Virginia history.”

The governorship wasn’t the only seat to turn red last night.

The Republicans picked up 7 seats from the Democrats in the House of Delegates.  This gives them a 2 vote lead in the Virginia House.

Virginia

This is a great thing for Virginia and for our country. People are standing up and showing the corrupt Democrats that their voices do matter.
