Critical Race Theory Teaching
East Side Community School in Manhattan’s Principal Mark Federman sent home a rather disturbing survey to all of the white parents. Only the white parents.
He asked the white parents to “reflect†on their “whiteness†while passing out literature that extols “white traitors’’ who “dismantle institutions”.
The author of this particular set of “anti-racist” teachings is Professor Barnor Hesse is an associate Professor of African American Studies, Political Science, and Sociology at Northwestern University.
“His research interests include post-structuralism and political theory, black political thought, modernity and coloniality, blackness and affect, race and governmentality, conceptual methodologies, postcolonial studies. His book, Un/settled Multiculturalisms: Diasporas, Entanglements, Transruptions, reconsiders the meanings of multiculturalism in the West. In introducing a new conceptual language, the volume stresses the importance of distinguishing between the multicultural as a signifier of the unsettled meanings of cultural differences, and multiculturalism as the signified of attempts to “fix†their meaning in national imaginaries. The book also casts the debates about multiculturalism in the contexts of globalization, post-colonialism, and what Barnor Hesse calls “multicultural transruptionsâ€â€“which he sees as resurgent, irrepressible.”
From the New York Post, “When parents brought their concerns about this rather racist survey Fenderman disseminated it to every parent “as part of a series of materials meant for reflection†and as “food for thought,†the official said.
A DOE rep said in a statement, “Anti-racism and the celebration of diversity is at the core of our work on behalf of the young people of New York City, and the East Side Community School’s students, parents and staff partner together to advance equity in their community.
“The document in question was shared with the school by parents as a part of ongoing anti-racist work in the school community and is one of many resources the schools utilize.â€
The left are always crying about racism and the evil of whiteness. Imagine this were in the reverse. Imagine the 8 white identities read the 8 black identities. Would there be outrage? Or would the school district simply gloss over it as just part of a curriculum?
Critical race theory is nothing more than a cancer in the public school system. It has accomplished nothing but created an air of hostility amongst our children. The “adults” in these situations are the insane liberals who think that you are evil simply because of the skin that you’re born in. They are the ones who are making the toxic environments for our children.
The racism that the left ignore isn’t new. We talked last year about Oprah lecturing white people on their privilege’s. I’ve heard many people claim that reverse racism isn’t a thing. It’s just not possible to be racists towards white people. It is. This is a prime example of racism that is being touted as okay in the main stream and this is not okay.
It’s not okay to judge anyone on the color of their skin.
