Roe V Wade has been a plague on the United States ever since it was initially ruled in 1973. The Supreme Court has verified that the leaked document overturning the decision is authentic.

On Monday evening, Politico published a purported draft copy of the court’s ruling, which suggested that the landmark abortion law Roe v. Wade would be overturned. On Tuesday the Supreme Court responded to the leaded draft overturning Roe V Wade amidst intense backlash.

Chief Justice John Roberts called the leak “a betrayal of the confidences” of the institution.

“To the extent this betrayal of the confidences of the Court was intended to undermine the integrity of our operations,” Roberts wrote, “it will not succeed,” adding that the “work of the Court will not be affected in any way.”

“We at the court are blessed to have a workforce—permanent employees and law clerks who are intensely loyal to the institution and dedicated to the rule of law,” he commented. “Court employees have an exemplary and important tradition of respecting the confidentiality of the judicial process and upholding the trust of the Court.”

Justice Samuel Alito authored the draft, referencing Roe V Wade and Planned Parenthood V Casey, stating, “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”

The left wasn’t about to let the use of this leak out of their grasp. Former vice president Joe Biden was quick to call on the pro-choicers (or those okay with killing unborn children) to vote for other pro-choicers in November.

“If the court does overturn Roe, it will fall on our nation’s elected officials at all levels of government to protect a woman’s right to choose,” President Joe Biden said in a statement. “And it will fall on voters to elect pro-choice officials this November. At the federal level, we will need more pro-choice Senators and a pro-choice majority in the House to adopt legislation that codifies Roe, which I will work to pass and sign into law.”

Senator Mitt Romney said that while he supports the opinion, leaking the draft is an “appalling affront against a critical institution and should be fully investigated and those responsible should be punished.”

The right to have an abortion up until around 23 or 24 weeks, has been federally protected under the Constitution since the Roe v. Wade decision 49 years ago in 1973; however, in his draft majority ruling, Alito insisted that “its reasoning was exceptionally weak, and the decision has had damaging consequences.”The opinion also rejects the subsequent Planned Parenthood v. Casey decision in 1992. It would instead hand decisions to individual states.

“And far from bringing about a national settlement of the abortion issue, Roe and Casey have enflamed debate and deepened division,” the document argues.

The Supreme Court overturning Roe V Wade would not mean that abortions are automatically illegal in every state. All the ruling means is that abortion ‘rights’ would be up to individual states. Shrinking the federal government’s stranglehold on the United States.

It is expected that most South and Midwest states would move to impose broad abortion bans. Twenty-two states already have pre-Roe bans and “trigger laws” in their books that would ban abortions if the Supreme Court overturned Roe VWade.

Within hours of the leak, barricades were placed around the Supreme Court building in Washington DC as protesters from both sides quickly descended.

It is good to see someone in the Federal government standing up to progressives and others who support the murder of unborn children. It’s also a great first step in shrinking the federal government.
