Mask Mandatemask mandate

On Wednesday the CDC asked the DOJ to appeal Florida US District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle’s ruling overturning the forced mask mandate for public transit.

Judge Mizelle ruled on Monday that the CDC overstepped its authority by imposing the mask rule in the first place.

Even former vice president Joe Biden said “that’s up to them” when questioned if people should continue wearing masks on airplanes.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki quickly walked back Biden’s comments during Wednesday’s press briefing.

“The president was answering the question quite literally, which means, right now, we are not implementing the mask mandate because of the court order — which we disagree with — while he is still abiding by CDC guidance and we recommend Americans do that across the country,” Psaki asserted. “They’re still recommending people wear masks on airplanes.”

Psaki added that everyone wore masks while traveling on Air Force One on Tuesday.

“People are not legally bound to wear masks, so it is a point in time where it is up to people — it is their choice in that regard,” Psaki continued.

“To protect CDC’s public health authority beyond the ongoing assessment announced last week, CDC has asked DOJ to proceed with an appeal,” the CDC said in a Wednesday evening statement.

It is CDC’s continuing assessment that at this time an order requiring masking in the indoor transportation corridor remains necessary for the public health,” the CDC statement continued. CDC will continue to monitor public health conditions to determine whether such an order remains necessary.  CDC believes this is a lawful order, well within CDC’s legal authority to protect public health.”

Covid cases are down since hitting their all-time high in January resulting in most cities eliminating indoor mask mandates. Philadelphia is not one of those cities as they recently reinstated their mandatory indoor masking mandate.

“CDC continues to recommend that people wear masks in all indoor public transportation settings,” the federal health agency continued in its statement.

“CDC’s number one priority is protecting the public health of our nation. As we have said before, wearing masks is most beneficial in crowded or poorly ventilated locations, such as the transportation corridor. When people wear a well-fitting mask or respirator over their nose and mouth in indoor travel or public transportation settings, they protect themselves, and those around them, including those who are immunocompromised or not yet vaccine-eligible, and help keep travel and public transportation safer for everyone.”

Rochelle Walensky, CDC Director, and Anthony Fauci recently attended an almost entirely unmasked white-tie gala in Washington, D.C. this month. 80 out of the 630 guests tested positive for Covid shortly after.

The CDC’s desperate attempt to keep control of the American people is expected to have no immediate effect. The DOJ has yet to even attempt to stop Judge Mizelle’s order.

The TSA is likely to not enforce any mask mandate until the ruling is reviewed over the coming weeks and months.

Why is the DOJ taking orders from the CDC?

Airlines including Delta, Alaska, and United said this week that they would start allowing travelers they had banned for not complying with the mask mandate back on flights on a case-by-case basis.

“Any further disregard for the policies that keep us all safe will result in placement on Delta’s permanent no-fly list,” Delta said in a statement late Wednesday. “Customers who demonstrated egregious behavior and are already on the permanent no-fly list remain barred from flying with Delta.”

The government seems to be quickly losing control of the American people. As more and more citizens stand up and say enough they’re starting to grab at straws in their desperate attempt to force their will on the populace. They claim it’s for the better of the group, but is it? As data comes out contradicting everything they say, we need to keep standing up and do not comply.
