Hollywood elitist, Seth Rogen, received backlash on Twitter this week after he tried to downplay the crimes that are rampant in Los Angeles.

It all started when YouTuber Casey Neistat, who relocated to Los Angeles, tweeted out on Wednesday about his car being broken into and his property inside being stolen.

Liberal actor Seth Rogen responded to the critique of the crime-ridden city of Los Angeles rather personally. He tried to play it off as though you should just expect to have your car broken into if you live in a big city. As though it’s completely normal and who cares?

Rogen went on to say, “You can be mad but I guess I don’t personally view my car as an extension of myself and I’ve never really felt violated any of the 15 or so times my car was broken into. Once a guy accidentally left a cool knife in my car so if it keeps happening you might get a little treat.”

How disconnected can you be from reality to think that having your car broken into 15 times is no big deal and an armed criminal leaving behind his knife is “cool”?

People were quick to jump on the liberal actor for his obvious disconnect from the average person pointing out that not everyone can afford to have their vehicles broken into 15 times.

In typical liberal fashion though, he’s not the kind of person who can take any kind of backlash when saying stupid things online.

The online discussion comes as Los Angeles makes headlines for a spree of burglaries that have taken place. Earlier this week nearly two dozen thieves broke into a Nordstrom at The Grove retail complex in L.A, according to Deadline. The suspects fled in at least four vehicles. Three were later arrested in South Los Angeles.

Two days later several men broke into another Los Angeles-based Nordstrom, this one located at the Westfield Topanga & The Village shopping center in Canoga Park. The suspects stole merchandise worth an estimated $25,000 before fleeing the scene.

Of course, what do we expect from these Hollywood elitists? They came to the defense of a child rapist and mourn his death.
