DC Changes Superman’s Motto of ‘Truth, Justice and the American Way’ to ‘Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow,’ Colorist Gabe Eltaeb Quits

It was only less than a week ago when DC released the news that Superman’s son would be bisexual while taking it up the mantle. As if that wasn’t enough woke news for the ol’ Man of Steel, he’s now seemingly being made into a Globalist. That’s right — no more ‘American Way’ for Supes. Now he’s just doing things for a better tomorrow.

Some may think this is solely due to his global status he now has earned. First, I say f*ck you. He’s an American character. We should keep him as ours no matter what. Second, their own employees are flat out admitting that America sucks and that’s the reason for this change.

Here’s Tim Seeley, for example.

It’s odd to think that America is the problem here. “for profit and with as little concern for humanity as possible” — really? I think you’re referring to Crony Capitalism, however, you work for one of the largest corporations on Earth, AT&T. Or do you like to pretend DC Comics is a small mom & pop comic book company still? They’re owned by Warner Media which is owned by AT&T.

Again, I say, Crony Capitalism is what you are complaining about and that is, indeed, NOT the ‘American Way’. Yet you continue working for a big corporation that was “allowed” to stay open during the plandemic and absolutely profits without a care in the world.

I think your thinking skills and feelings aren’t lining up here.

Upon release of the news about the changing motto, a statement was released by Jim Lee of DC Comics.

“Superman’s new motto of ‘Truth, Justice and a Better Tomorrow’ will better reflect the global storylines that we are telling across DC and to honor the character’s incredible legacy of over 80 years of building a better world. Superman has long been a symbol of hope who inspires people from around the world, and it is that optimism and hope that powers him forward with this new mission statement.”

Jim Lee, publisher and chief creative officer of DC Comics

There is no tomorrow without America. That’s really all there is to say to you, Mr. Jim Lee.

Fortunately, some who work within DC Comics have had enough and are leaving the company. One of whom is colorist, Gabe Eltaeb, who has done art for comic books like Batman and Green Lantern. He’s one who has finally had enough of the woke-ness and changing characters for the worst.

In a livestream hosted by Cyberfrog creator Ethan Van Sciver, himself a former contracted DC Comics employee, Gabe lays it all out there for the world to know that he’s had enough.

“What really pissed me off was saying ‘Truth, Justice, and a Better World.’ F*ck that. It was ‘Truth, Justice, and the American Way.’ My Grandpa almost died in World War II; we don’t have a right to destroy sh*t that people died for to give us… It’s a bunch of f*cking nonsense. They call us bigots and racist and sh*t. I would ask them, find me in the f*king mainstream, not on the fringes, one f*king book, one f*king t-shirt, one movie that says that leftism is bad, and conservatism is good, find it for me, they f*king won’t — they’re not letting people have a voice, they’re the f*king bigots. Sorry, that’s been bottled up for five years.”

– Gabe Eltaeb, former DC Comics colorist

Well said, Gabe. Well f*cking said.

Gabe had declared that he would finish out the rest of his contract, but this forced DC’s hand and they fired him. It’s always better to have the company fire you, after all. Think about it this way: they fired him for speaking out against removing ‘American Way.’ Do you really feel good about that, DC Comics?

I know there are many on the right that will say, “who cares. It’s a dumb comic book superhero.” You need to realize that we’re in a culture war and the only way to win over hearts and minds of the youth is to start fighting back in culture. In order to fight back in a culture war, one must BE in the culture where the war is waging.

Thankfully, there are comic book artists like Ethan and Gabe leaving these corporations and going independent.
