The FDA advisory committee voted to recommend the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid booster for people 65 and older 18-0. The panel voted 16-2 against recommending the booster for those 16 and up.
This vote will put a bit of a wrench in former vice president Joe Biden’s plans to push for the booster to the American citizens.
The committee stated that more data is needed before they can approve boosters for those who are 16+, they also claim that the Pfizer jabs are “highly protective” against the spread of the Delta variant.
Even though we’ve been told so many times that this is the pandemic of the unvaccinated. The protected need to be protected from the unprotected by forcing the unprotected to use the protection that didn’t protect the protected.
The committee analyzed the FDA document that highlighted studies that recommended EUA for a third dose of the Pfizer jab for those over 65 and at high risk of severe infection.
“In particular, there is a lack of data on effectiveness and duration,” said Dr. Michael Carome, director of Public Citizen’s Health Research Group.
“Current evidence does not appear to show a need for boosting.”
The FDA is not bound to follow the advice of the committee but has so far on the jabs. The big question is, will they continue to listen to the committee or give the former vice president what he and his administration want.
While determining the best course of action to follow, the committee analyzed studies to figure out if a booster was effective 6 months after the second Pfizer jab. The committee noted that The New England Journal of Medicine published research in July that detailed how people who received 2 Pfizer jab’s were only 88% protected from the Delta variant.
The FDA committee’s vote comes just a month after Biden and his health officials said that boosters would be needed by September 20. Which resulted in the FDA losing one of its top directors and a deputy director. The senior regulators were upset with the White House announcing the need for boosters without approval from the FDA and CDC. Anthony Fauci backed this claim up as well.
“I’m certain we’re going to need that third dose, looking at the data that we’re seeing,” Fauci said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “Right now, we’re sticking with eight [months] but we’re totally open to any variation in that based on the data,” Fauci said.
Looking at Israel, a country that leads the world in Covid boosters is seeing massive surges in Covid cases. More than 10,000 new cases were recorded on September 13, with an average of 8,000 new infections each day as positive test rates continue to climb, according to Health Ministry figures.
While our government continues to unconstitutionally mandate these jabs for all for us, Israel is preparing their citizens for a fourth jab.
“Given that the virus is here and will continue to be here, we also need to prepare for a fourth injection,” National coronavirus czar Salman Zarka told Kan public radio.
He didn’t specify when the shot would be administered though. He claims that the next booster could be modified to protect people even better against new variants. Just like the current booster was supposed to do but isn’t.
“This is our life from now on, in waves,” he said.
