Lori Lightfoot, the racist mayor, declares racism is a “public health emergency” and diverts $10 million in Covid Funds to Address Problem

Lori Lightfoot is the mayor of Chicago and a very bad one. She’s no stranger to controversy and letting her true racists colors shine through. She was recently sued by Judicial Watch on behalf of the Daily Caller when she denied Thomas Catenacci an interview because he was white.

Back in May Lightfoot announced that she would only grant “black and brown” reporters interviews, openly discriminating against white reporters.

As reported by Fox News, “At almost every single point in our city’s history, racism has taken a devastating toll on the health and well-being of our residents of color – especially those who are Black,” Lightfoot said in a statement. “Without formally acknowledging this detrimental impact, we will never be able to move forward as a city and fully provide our communities with the resources they need to live happy and healthy lives.”

The city’s public health department said it will allocate nearly $10 million in coronavirus relief funds from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to establish six Healthy Chicago Equity Zones that will encompass the entire city.

“The launch of the Healthy Chicago Equity Zones is an extension of the racial and health equity work implemented by community leaders, public health entities, city government, and health institutions,” said Ayesha Jaco, executive director of West Side United, a community-based initiative for Chicago’s western neighborhoods.

Has Lori Lightfoot’s racism helped the city of Chicago at all?

No. In fact, the situation in Chicago has gotten worse. Recently Lightfoot banned police officers from giving chase to criminals, even those who commit serious offenses, while the Chicago D.A. refuses to prosecute a lot of crimes.

The lack of accountability for people’s actions in the war zone that is Chicago has resulted in 200 more people being murdered so far this year than last year.

Lightfoot is so focused on the inclusion and equity programs that she keeps pushing out, much like the public school systems, that she is ignoring the bigger problem. The violence. (Again, much like the public school systems.)

As the racist mayor declares racism is a “public health emergency”, one can’t help but think, at what point do Democrats begin to look internally and realize that the problem is them?

We continue to sit back while these racists sit in government positions declaring others to be the racists. We watch as these corrupt politicians are “elected” year after year, the definition of insanity. Doing the same thing expecting a different outcome.

We won’t see a change in the country until we stop allowing the corruption and hatred to remain in our government.

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.” — George Washington
