Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot, refuses interviews from white reporters
Lori Lightfoot is reaching her 2 year point of being Mayor of Chicago. The gun free zone that has some of the most shootings in the country.
 20202 ended with 4,033 shooting victims compared with 2,598 the year before.
Police reported 769 murders through the end of December 2020, 274 more than the previous year and the most since the 784 homicides in 2016.
In December, there were 50 homicides — 19 more than occurred in December 2019.
It would seem those gun free zones aren’t working well for Chicago.
In her Tweets Wednesday, Lightfoot complained that an overwhelming majority of the press in Chicago are white. She then announced she would only be granting 1-on-1 interviews with black and brown people.
Now imagine the backlash a white mayor would be receiving right now if they were only granting white reporters 1-on-1 interviews. The hypocrisy and racism is strong with Chicago’s mayor. But we know she’s not the only Democrat who is hypocritical. Let’s not leave out California’s Maxine Waters.
