Residents Defend Portland Neighborhood After Woman’s Home Was Vandalized with “A Nazi Lives Here”
On the evening of August 5th 2020, a woman was attacked at her home for, supposedly, the armband she had on. Many question how her armband was even seen from the street and during the dark of night.
The armband she had on was that of the NAZI party. Not a great look, but also not a reason for her to be berated and blinded by lasers. It’s also worth noting that some people have begun making statements with the Nazi symbol to express that they believe they are living under Nazi-like laws and rulers. Nine times out of ten, these statements are not showing their support of the NAZI party or regime. An example of this is the couple in the Walmart who wore the Nazi face coverings or how this man flying a Nazi flag was trying to say, but the mainstream media cut out.
Now that the context has been laid out, we can get to the following night of August 6th where the rioters returned after marking the woman’s home with “A NAZI Lives Here.” The diverse neighborhood residents came out to defend the woman and the neighborhood. The woman stood at her front door with a bat.
Watch the video.
As you can see, this Portland neighborhood is diverse, which is not somewhere an actual NAZI would likely want to live. Moral of this story? Context and nuance matter.
