Blaming and Faking
Before we even get to the knife bins, let’s talk about why knife bins are even a thing.
We’ve been hearing a lot about white nationalists and white supremacy lately. There’s been so much talk about gun regulations, gun confiscations, and gun violence. The usual hype after mass shootings (except those in cities like Chicago). There were three. The garlic festival. El Paso. Dayton Ohio.
The left is so rapidly insane about making sure Republicans are to blame for everything that they actually changed the El Paso shooter’s MyLife page.
A few days later, there’s a mass knife attack that left four people dead over the span of two hours. No guns were involved.
The following day there was a knife attack in Pittsburgh. A woman who had been seen sleeping at a bus stop was stabbed in the neck while talking to police and a woman walking by wearing a hijab was stabbed.
What did the commentators in the news sources comment section of Facebook do? They screamed white nationalist, racism, white supremacy to the skies! IT HAD TO BE A WHITE MAN!
It was not. The attacker was a 23-year-old black man from McKeesport.
The commentators went quiet VERY quickly. They raged about people turning a tragedy political. Even though they had been very political just a few short hours before hand.
No guns were used in this incident or the few other stabbings in Pittsburgh within the same week.
On Friday, August 23, Johnny Lee Martin, of Alabama, stabbed a heroin dealer, I mean a woman, in downtown Pittsburgh. She was taken to a local hospital. The stabber was eventually arrested.
Neither person had a gun.
No big deal? Just a few people stabbed. Nothing like the violence of guns!
Let’s look at a few years prior at Franklin Regional High School. Another Southwestern PA school. A boy went into school with a knife and stabbed 24 of his classmates.
No guns involved.
Knife Bins
Are we going to follow the same path as London? Will we have knife deposit boxes or knife bins? No guns? No knives? No sharp utensils to be found anywhere?
But of course the knife turn-in bins in London aren’t working. Knife attacks have been on the rise and they officially have a higher murder rate than New York City.
The left is so quick to demand a call to action when it comes to guns. Always blame the gun. They scream that the United States has the highest mass murder rate in the world. It does not. In fact, the U.S. falls down to #11 on the gun murder rate. Honduras takes the #1 spot with 67.18 people per 100,000 dying per year. Venezuela is (You know, the country that put the travel warning on us…) at 59.13 gun deaths per 100,000 people per year.
Want to know where the U.S. places? We come in at 11th at 10.54 gun deaths per 100,000 people per year.
Those aren’t all criminal homicide gun deaths either. That does include suicides and gang-on-gang deaths.
So all the media outlets that are telling you that the U.S. is the worst place ever with the most gun violence ever, are full of fucking shit.
The 2A
Banning weapons is not going to stop bad people from doing bad things. We will always have evil in the world. Getting rid of guns and putting up knife bins is not going to save the world. People need to be able to defend themselves. People need to protect their families. Which is why we have the 2A.
Our Founding Fathers felt it necessary to recognize in a document that people are born with the right to keep and bear arms. This is for our protection from criminals and from a tyrannical government. Do you think that the government won’t turn tyrannical once civilians are unarmed? How did that work out for Venezuela?
Stop blaming guns. Stop blaming knives. Turn the blame where it’s supposed to be. Keep the blame on the evil bastards committing the crimes. It’s not the white man’s fault. It’s not men’s fault. It’s that particular person’s fault.
Stop vilifying the right. Stop vilifying the left. We are to be a united nation under God.
