“You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.â€
― Abraham Lincoln
Dear everyone entitled,
You are not special. You were not born special. You are not owed anything. The world is not here to please you. The world is not here to give you what you think you should have. You have to go out and work for it. Growing up, your parents told you how you can do anything you want to do. You can be whatever you want to be.
Sorry, but you can’t.
You cannot expect to become a doctor overnight because you feel like it. You cannot demand people bend to your will simply because it’s what you want.
The world does not owe you. The government does not owe you.
The government is not there for you to suck from the teet. The government was not meant to support you and your family. The government is not meant to be as big as it is. They do not need to solve all of the problems in the world. Sometimes, we have to fail in order to advance. If a business is going to go under, the government does not need to bail them out.
I hate to disappoint you, but you are not the center of the universe. No matter what you do in life, there will always be someone bigger or more important than you. This is a fact of life, get used to it.
So you are not owed a thing. You are not special. You are another cog in the wheel of life. You were not born unique.
If you want to be special you have to work for it. You have to try and you have to actually try. The good things in life are not owed to you and will not be handed to you. Work hard and improve. Create. Innovate. Then you will be able to achieve what you want. You cannot be special by having everyone do for you. You have to do for yourself.
