Paul Pelosi, Speak of the House Nancy Pelosi‘s husband, was arrested in California this weekend and charged with a DUI.
Paul Pelosi, 82, was arrested just before midnight in Napa County, California and charged with one count of driving under the influence and for driving with a blood alcohol content level of .08 or higher.
Pelosi was held on a $5,000 bail as first reported by TMZ.
“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” her deputy chief of staff Drew Hammill said in a statement to HuffPost.
Nancy was at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island on Sunday to deliver a commencement speech to recent graduates and receive an honorary degree.
