Truth Social, the social media site created by Trump Media & Technology Group, migrated to using Rumble Cloud as their hosting service.

President Trump’s Truth Social (TMTG) migrated to Rumble Cloud on April 22 as it onboards millions of users since the soft release in February according to a news release from Rumble.

This move will make sure the app can easily “scale significantly” on a “cancel-culture-free” cloud platform.

Devin Nunes, CEO of TMTG, said the migration was “a major stride toward rescuing the internet from the grip of the Big Tech tyrants.”

“Our teams have worked tirelessly to realize this great endeavor,” Nunes said. “Rumble’s cloud infrastructure is second to none and will be the backbone for the restoration of free speech online for ages to come.”

“I created Truth Social … to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” he said. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter yet your favorite American president has been silenced.”

“We are excited to partner with one of the fastest-growing social media companies on the internet. Providing top-notch cloud infrastructure is essential, and Truth Social users will start to see the fruits of our efforts immediately,” said Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski.

When it launched on President’s Day it quickly became the most popular social media platform on the Apple App Store.

It wasn’t without its issues though. In April 1.42 million people were placed on a waitlist as they were unable to register.

In the initial days after launch, the app was downloaded 170,000 times per day, but this slowed down to 8,000 per day by late March. It is the 51st most downloaded app in the social networking category.

“DWAC’s stock has much further to fall given the demonstrably misleading statements in DWAC’s registration statement, the status of TMTG’s operations at the time the merger agreement was executed, the cast of characters seeking to consummate that merger, and those individuals’ flagrant disregard for SEC rules and regulations,” the report said.

The Kerrisdale report also came with a disclaimer saying that at the time of the report’s publication that Kerrisdale had “short positions in shares” of DWAC. “Kerrisdale stands to realize gains in the event the price of DWAC shares decrease,” the disclaimer added.

One of the big issues that we noticed is the fact that the social media platform is only available on IOS devices. Millions have signed up without the Android version of the app being available, so only 50% of the market has had access.

Truth Social, TMTG’s social media platform, is a Big Tech alternative that claims to create a free-speech haven without viewpoint discrimination or oppressive censorship.

But is it really a free-speech haven as they claim?

Stew Peters, a right-wing commentator, claims he was issued a “sensitive content” warning on his comment that government officials should be tried and executed over the Covid vaccine.

Peters posted on Telegram on Tuesday that he was “already being censored on Truth Social.” He included a screenshot of his account with a “sensitive content” warning that advised the content may not be suitable for all audiences. To see the post, users had to click “show content.”

Matt Ortega, a self-described “serious internet clown,” posted on Twitter on Tuesday that he may be the first “canceled” Truth Social user. Ortega posted a screenshot that announced his account was banned permanently because of “community guidelines violations.”

He created an account with the username “DevinNunesCow,” similar to a popular Twitter account that former Representative Devin Nunes is suing for defamation. Nunes left Congress and is currently Truth Social’s CEO.
