Texas Governor Greg Abbott stated on Wednesday that he plans on having charter buses ready to ship illegal immigrants to Washington, D.C. as the installed Biden administration announced on April 1 that they are terminating Title 42.

Title 42 was implemented by President Trump’s administration during the Covid pandemic and used during the installed Biden administration to expel migrants at our Southern border where chaos has reigned for entirely too long.

While it is a public health order, not an immigration policy, it has become one of the central border policies in place as the U.S. faces a continuing crisis of numbers at the border. In February, approximately 55% of migrants were returned due to the order, rather than being released into the U.S.

“After considering current public health conditions and an increased availability of tools to fight COVID-19 (such as highly effective vaccines and therapeutics), the CDC Director has determined that an Order suspending the right to introduce migrants into the United States is no longer necessary,” the Centers for Disease Control said in a statement.

“This is a momentous day for immigrant rights activists, and immigrants and refugees everywhere,” Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., said in a statement. “Title 42 was a cruel and discriminatory policy that circumvented U.S. law, preventing people from accessing protections established by Congress. Today is the product of years of advocacy from both inside and outside Congress. I’m thrilled to see the Biden Administration do the right and moral thing by ending this extremely harmful, xenophobic, and shortsighted policy that disproportionately impacted Black and Brown migrants.”

“At every opportunity, Biden has enacted policies that open our southern border, empower drug smugglers and human traffickers, and make American communities less safe. Joe Biden has overseen the worst border crisis in DHS history,” Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said in a statement. “By removing Title 42, Biden’s doubling down on his commitment to actively worsening the crisis he created.”

To combat the pending disaster that is about to descend upon Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced that undocumented migrants that are released into his state will be placed on busses and sent to the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. Our border checkpoints are struggling to handle the current influx of people attempting to cross.

“To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal aliens who have been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington, D.C.,” said Abbott.

“We are sending them to the United States Capitol where the Biden Administration will be able to more immediately address the needs of the people that they’re allowing to come across our border,” he added.

It’s speculated that once Title 42 is lifted the border crisis is going to get exponentially worse as the pace of illegal immigrants is likely to increase.

“The federal government is planning for up to 18,000 illegal immigrants crossing per day,” Abbott said. “That’s more than a half a million illegal immigrants crossing the border every single month from more than 150 different countries.”

“Securing the border does not come cheap,” Abbott said. “Securing the border would cost Texas nothing if the federal government was doing its job, but because Joe Biden is not securing the border, the state of Texas is having to step up and spend Texas taxpayer money doing the federal government’s job.”
