California Governor Gavin Newsom admitted to going maskless “for a few moments” at the 49ers-Rams game, in complete defiance of the local mask mandate and stadium requirements.

This isn’t the first time that Newsom has come under fire for flouting the rules and acting like the dictator he is in California. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and San Francisco Mayor London Breed were also spotted in the suite without masks.
California implemented a universal indoor mask mandate in December that was extended to run through February 15. I guess if you’re a sportsball player, Hollywood elitist, or a politician you’re except from your own rules?
LA County currently has a mask mandate in place for outdoor “mega events” that host more than 5,000 people, regardless of vaccination status. The rules will apply for the Super Bowl matchup that will be hosted at the stadium on February 13, local health officials have said.
Will those rules apply to everyone? Or just the peasants who show up?
“The Governor acknowledged that he took off his mask for a few moments during Sunday’s game,” Erin Mellon, Newsom’s communications director, told The Post.
“He continues to encourage all Californians to do their part to get through the pandemic and this latest surge, including wearing a mask and getting vaccinated.”
Newsom gave a press conference giving yet another pathetic reason why he didn’t have to follow the rules he put in place.
“I was very judicious yesterday, uh, very judicious. And you’ll see the photo that I did take, um where Magic was kind enough, generous enough to ask me for a photograph,” Newsom said sounding like a starstruck teen. “In my left hand is the mask, and I took a photo. The rest of the time I wore it, as we all should. Not when I had a glass of water or anything … and that’s it,” Newsom said.
A Fox 11 reporter pressed Newsom and asked him if he shouldn’t have taken a maskless photo given his history of getting caught violating Covid rules.
“I was trying to be gracious and took the mask off for a brief second,” Newsom said stopping just short of admitting he made a “mistake.”
It’s okay for these leftist politicians and elitists to remove their masks whenever they want yet California’s 5-year-olds have to be masked for their entire day no questions asked.
I would say it’s time to wake up and vote him out, but that was tried. Was it a legit “recall election” or just another game that Democrats play so they can scream conspiracy theorist at anybody who questions their behavior?
