It is being reported that there was an explosion outside the Kabul airport and another at nearby Baron Hotel.
UPDATED as of 7:52 PM 8/26/2021 – 12 US Marines and 60 Afghans have been killed in the explosion that rocked the Abbey Gate at Kabul Airport and the Baron Hotel.
According to CBS a witness simply known as Carl was there when the explosion happened.
“A lot of people got hurt. People were laying on the ground,” Carl told CBS News’ Vladimir Duthiers.
That’s when he said he noticed a baby girl among the wounded. He said he picked up the child and took her to his truck to take her to the hospital.
“There was a lot of traffic. I had to get out and pick her up again,” he said. “I took her to the hospital, but she died on my hands. … I tried. I did my best to help her.”
Remember who had the chance to stop all of this. The entire mess that is happening in Afghanistan right now falls squarely on the installed Biden administration. They bumbled the entire pullout from step A to step Z. Citizens should have been evacuated before the troops were pulled. Now we’ve lost 12 Marines and 60 Afghan nationals are dead.

Four U.S. Marines and three others were injured in a suicide bomb attack outside the Abbey Gate at Kabul’s airport. Shortly after that bombing, there was a second blast at the Baron Hotel where American citizens were being sheltered.
The suicide bombing set off a firefight at the Abbey Gate. There were 5,000 Afghans and Americans waiting at this gate for access to the airport to be evacuated.
“We can confirm that the explosion at the Abbey Gate was the result of a complex attack that resulted in a number of US & civilian casualties,” Pentagon press secretary John Kirby tweeted. “We can also confirm at least one other explosion at or near the Baron Hotel, a short distance from Abbey Gate. We will continue to update.”
From Fox News: “Taliban has essentially completely stopped letting Afghans through,” the source said, adding that they are “mostly” letting Americans through, but many are staying away due to the ISIS threat.
“Military continues to retrograde and depart the airport. Almost a certainty that Americans will be left behind,” the source said. “They will have to be extracted after-the-fact through either Taliban negotiation or unconventional means.”
An official from the Taliban reported that there were 13 people killed, including children, and 52 wounded. Witnesses to the incident state there are many more bodies than are being reported.
Mohammad Tawfiq, a resident of the Yaka Toot area adjacent to the military section of the airport, told Reuters that a canal near the airport was filled with the bodies of the dead and wounded.
A witness who gave his name as Jamshed said he had gone to the airport in the hope of getting a visa to reach the United States.
“There was a very strong and powerful suicide attack, in the middle of the people. Many were killed, including Americans, many were killed and many injured,” he said.
A hospital run by an Italian charity said it was treating more than 60 wounded. The Pentagon said U.S. personnel were among those hurt. Had the Biden administration evacuated Afghanistan properly, would there have been a bombing at all? Would there be any American casualties? Would those children be dead right now?
It’s only taken this installed administration 8 months to completely ruin the United States and bring the fall of the middle east.
