Shooting Suspect Tells Authorities Shooting Not Racially Motivated

Robert Aaron Long, 21, has accepted responsibility for the string of shootings on Tuesday, March 16. He killed 8 people and left 1 injured. 6 of those killed were Asian women and 2 were white women. The MSM has declared the shootings to be racially motivated despite the shooter and authorities contradicting those claims.

“He apparently has an issue, what he considers a sex addiction, and sees these locations as …. a temptation for him that he wanted to eliminate,” Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Jay Baker said.

Baker said investigators “got that impression that, yes he understood the gravity of it and he was pretty much fed up, at the end of his rope. Yesterday was a really bad day for him and this is what he did.”

Long made indications to police that he may have a sexual addiction and visited massage parlor’s in the past.

“It sounds to me like these locations, he sees them as an outlet for him, that something that he shouldn’t be doing and that is an issue with porn and that he was attempting to take out that temptation,” Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Jay Baker said.

“The public as a whole should be grateful that this suspect was quickly apprehended because it is very likely that there would have been more victims,” Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said.

It is believed that Long was on his way to Florida where he planned more shootings.

According to the AP Cherokee County Sheriff Capt. Jay Baker has been removed from the case due to his repeating what the shooter said, “that yesterday was a really bad day for him.”

Officials stressed that the investigation is ongoing, with authorities not making an official determination as to the motive of the attacks at this time.
