Major General Abbas Ibrahim: Confiscated High Explosive Material Caused Explosion

A major explosion has rocked Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Major General Abbas Ibrahim told Lebanon TV that the explosion was caused by “confiscated high explosive material’ in the port area of the capital and has been felt up to 6 miles away.

The Trump administration is said to be monitoring the situation. “That was breaking as I came out here and safe to say we’re monitoring the situation,” press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said.

Total dead isn’t known yet, but the mayor says at least 10 firefighters are missing, 25 people confirmed dead and at least 2500 injured. The Lebanese military has been put on alert and is patrolling Beirut.

We grabbed a few eye witness videos and collected them together for you.

We’d be shocked if this “confiscated material” wasn’t radiological in some way just by the look of the cloud after, and the shock wave during.

Lebanon, an ally, is one of the more advanced countries in the Middle East and has really civilized over the years. If this was an attack, it’s no wonder why extremists would want to hit Beirut.
